No.9 Rhapsody was always a labour of love. It is the home office of the designer, a site of imagination. Symmetric shapes and moveable furniture facilitate the smooth circulation of workflow and ideas. There is no director’s office. LED screens, printers and cabinets are pushed to the periphery, around a central long table. The simplicity of the space and raw materials such as steel and bamboo reflect the designer’s mission to distil design to its purist elements.
