For 18 years, the A&D Awards have set the benchmark for excellence in architecture and interior design within Greater China and beyond. They are highly respected for recognising and celebrating the most innovative and effective projects within the region by local and overseas practices.

A&D Awards 2021 offers some further refinements to the award categories, to better reflect the demands of today’s industry. We continue with our rigorous two-tier judging process, introduced with great success last year, with some of the world’s most talented and distinguished industry practitioners on the jury panels.

The awards are the perfect platform to showcase the best of your work to the wider A&D community, including leading suppliers, developers, industry bodies and government agencies. Winning a Gold, Silver or Bronze A&D Award is the ultimate accolade and serves as a powerful tool for growing your business in the Greater China region. Make sure you’re a part of A&D Awards 2021!

Shining a light on Dali’s cultural assets

Nature-seekers and back-packers have long been drawn to Dali, in China’s Yunnan Province, by its natural beauty. Now the city, nestled between mountains and Lake Erhai, is putting arts and culture centre stage, with new developments, such as The Leas, offering a stunningly designed exhibition space to showcase local artistic themes.

Time waits for no one, especially in Hong Kong!

Kwun Tong, like Hong Kong itself, is undergoing constant change as industrial buildings make way for new commercial and retail developments. So, it’s appropriate that Time Loop – a new art piece celebrating the infinite rhythm of change by celebrated British designer Paul Cocksedge – has been installed at the entrance of the district’s Yue Man Square (YM2), thanks to a donation by the Sino Group.

A striking new pavilion on Haikou Bay – the first of 16 to be built this year!

The historic port city of Haikou, on China’s Hainan Island, has commissioned architects and artists from around the world to create 16 pavilions as part of an ambitious new cultural landmark project – and the first of them, The Cloudscape, has just opened to the public. If it’s anything to go by, the coastline will be a sight to behold when all the structures are completed, scheduled for the end of 2021.
