Design Philosophy:
Greg Ling is no stranger to building something from scratch. Since establishing his own studio in 2017, Greg has created a diverse range of projects for commercial and residential clients, all with a clean and timeless aesthetic.
Born in Hong Kong and educated in England, Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts at London College of Communication, University of Arts. After several years of practice, designing concepts for a number of luxury private residential projects with architect Edmond Wong at the renowned DCL Architecture; Greg relocated to Macau to work for hotel and casino operator SJM, developing their 2,000 rooms hotel and casino complex. During this time, Greg was assigned to work in Paris with the late Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of Chanel and Fendi on developing the world's 1st Karl Lagerfeld Hotel, scheduled to open in Macau in late 2021.
Greg leads each project personally and enjoys working on a wide range of project, not limited to any design style and scales. For every project, the blueprint is based on combining design sensibilities, attention to detail and craftsmanship to fulfil client’s vision.
His global experience has allowed him to take a fresh perspective on projects by considering how different cultures and social fabrics work and infusing his work with these varied views. Greg gets deeply involved with his clients’ visions by participating in early strategic phases and programming to truly understand how unique design can make a positive impact. Understanding that solutions need to be holistic and reflect a multi-disciplinary approach, he believes that thoughtful design connects people, architecture, landscape, and interiors. By creating cohesive places and spaces rather than simply providing isolated solutions, a well-designed building can serve its community for years and prove to be sustainable through well-thought-out programs and long-term eco-friendly strategies.
